Good morning! Today begins with two lectures starting at 9am and then it is on to a free afternoon. I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with my time, but I do know I need to do some laundry before we leave the hotel. I have been informed that this hotel is definitely the nicest place we will be staying for the trip! With that said, I want to use the nice facilities while I can!
Tonight, we will attend a traditional hangi meal and dinner show. It will be outdoors (COLD!!!!) and we will be cooking our food in the ground- quite interesting.
Last night a few of us managed to go out to one of the bars and it was quite fun. The bar had different levels with pool tables and a dance floor and nice wood bar. It was really great! I stayed out till about 12 and then woke up at 6, but I feel great! Plus, we leave at 7:30 am for Mt. Cook, so I'm not sure if we will actually make it out tonight.
I'll blog again before I leave, but no guarantees you'll hear from me for a few days. Hope you are all having a fabulous Thursday!

ReplyDeleteThis really is the best!! It's like you're right around the corner. By the way, I was thinking about our Australia/New Zealand trip. Remember when we watched the olympics...it was all that was on tv and they were the '96 summer olympics even though it was freezing there?!?!
